MARVIN GAYE'S FAMILY SEEKS TO BLOCK FURTHER DISTRIBUTION OF "BLURRED LINES"

Marvin Gaye's family recently was awarded the sum of $7.4 million against Pharrell and Robin Thicke for copyright infringement of Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give it Up" by a jury.

"Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke produced by Pharrell Williams is said to have been copied from "Got to Give it Up" according to court Judgement.

Marvin Gaye's family has gone back to court on Tuesday asking for an injunction on further distribution , copying or performance of the hit song "Blurred Lines".

The judgement according to the lawyer for Mavin Gaye's family was for past revenues on the hit song "blurred lines" and didnot include future revenues.

The lawyer for Marvin Gaye's family said if it has been determined that a copyright infringement has been committed, without an injunction, the song (blurred lines) will continue to be sold and Marvin Gaye's family will be denied of future earnings. He hoped that when the injunction has been granted the parties involved, Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke and Marvin Gaye's family will come to agreement on future revenues.
